Welcome to
Roselyn North Academy

Ten years ago I was in your shoes, searching for a place where my two young daughters could grow, learn, and feel at home. When I couldn’t find what I was looking for, I decided to create it—a place built on strong values and a commitment to early childhood education. That dream became Roselyn North Academy.

Today, with eight locations across Southern Maine, our mission remains the same: to care for and nurture children, families, and educators in our communities. I’m so glad you’re here and hope you’ll feel at home with us.

Warmly,

Learning
with Roselyn North

We're redefining early childhood education by working to change the perception that preschools are just daycares. This means offering a science-backed curriculum for every age, better compensation and continuing professional development for our educators and a transparent, collaborative approach to care for our families. With eight thriving locations in southern Maine, we're more than a daycare. We're a beacon of support for our students, our families and the extraordinary educators who shape their futures.

    Care

We know that in order to provide what's best for your child, we need to start with care. That means comforting and safe spaces, intentional programming  and exceptional educators.

  • Roselyn North offers childcare in Maine from centers in Freeport, Gorham, Saco, Westbrook and Yarmouth.

    Community

By taking good care of great teachers, getting kids involved in our towns and keeping our families in the loop every step of the way, we build a community of support around every child.

    Childhood

Our purpose-driven programming is designed to safeguard the essence of childhood, empowering kids to trust their natural curiosity and building a lifelong love of learning through play.

Admissions and Enrollment

To enroll at Roselyn North Academy, families should first schedule a tour of their preferred academy location. If a spot is available, an Enrollment Reservation Agreement and non-refundable deposit are required to secure it. If not, the child will be placed on our Universal Waitlist, with the option to select one or multiple locations.

Currently enrolled families may also reach out to add a sibling or adjust their schedule. While we prioritize families already in our care, all openings are first-come, first-served, and placement is not guaranteed.

Classroom placement is based on age, developmental readiness, and availability. Before starting, families must submit a signed Enrollment Contract, current immunization and medical records, and all required forms. A playdate visit is encouraged the week before the start date to help the child get acquainted and drop off personal items.

At that time, families will receive a classroom-specific Welcome Packet with the daily schedule, items needed, curriculum details, and transition tips. You'll also gain access to our Parent Portal for school calendars, emergency plans, and more.

Full admission and enrollment details can be found in our Family Handbook.

We know it’s hard to leave your little one in someone else’s care while you go get after it. That’s why we use the ProCare App to keep you in the loop about your child’s day. With daily notifications sent straight to your phone, you can see what your child is learning, how they’re developing toward milestones and communicate with our teachers with ease.

The Science of Early Childhood

Extensive research confirms that the first five years of life are the most critical for human brain development. By age five, a child’s brain is 90% the size of an adult brain, underscoring the profound importance of these early years. During this time, children form connections that shape their cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth. For children to thrive, they need environments rich in conversation, curiosity, and learning. These experiences build key skills, including language, early math and reading abilities, impulse control, and a sense of wonder about the world.

At Roselyn North Academy, we’re driven to capitalize on this window of opportunity. That’s why we’ve built a comprehensive curriculum that dovetails with what we know about developing young minds, while incentivizing our educators to pursue professional development, allowing them to be the best educators they can be during the most important time to learn.
